Thomas A. Brown, Age 71, of Dormont, passed peacefully in his family home on Monday, January 21, 2019.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Anne (Stiger) Brown; siblings Dolores Campbell Wissler, Eileen Luffy, William Brown, Joseph Brown, and Nancy Berger.
Tom was a man passionate about literature, music, baseball and, especially his family.
He worked as a carpenter for many years and an independent contractor delivering for the Post Gazette. But much of his life was spent where he loved to be, on a ball field. He spent his youthful years as a player,  then as a private instructor and coach to many young women’s fast pitch teams in the South Hills area over the years. He also passed his love of the game on to those survived by him: Wife, Diane (Johnson) Brown; Daughters Maureen (Brandon) Koch, Rebecca (Ryan) Dreger; Grandson Miles Ryan Dreger and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Family and friends received Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 12:00-4:00pm followed by a 4:00pm Blessing Service both at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care 5405 Steubenville Pike Robinson Township, PA 15136. Private interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society of Pittsburgh 320 Bilmar Drive Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
