Tom Edward Dykins

Tom Edward Dykins, age 92, passed away on March 2, 2023, peacefully in his Ellsworth home, where he lived for the past 36 years of his eventful, fulfilling life as a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. 

Born December 4, 1930, in Warren, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Roe Dykins & Alyce Jones Manthies.  He married his beloved wife, Wanda Dykins, on April 18, 1953, in Las Vegas, who passed away October 27, 2021.

Tom spent his life working in the glass industries all across the country; in California, Oklahoma, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and eventually returning and resettling in Pennsylvania.  After retirement he, as per his nature, continued to work for Asplundh Tree service and then the Foxwood Golf course, always keeping himself busy, always providing.  

He is survived by his Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Sons – Thomas (Jody) Dykins of Daisytown, PA – Jerry Dykins(Mary) of Myrtle Beach, SC – Casey (Becky) DykinsDaisytown, PA. 

Daughters – Alyce Moore of Coventry, RI – LaWanda (Reid) Yannacci of Bentleyville, PA.

Grandchildren- Jennifer (Frank) Corbin, Eric Eccleston, Jessica (Glenn) Robinson, Tyler Dykins (Stacy), Hilary Dykins, Heather (Bob) Crawford, Courtney (Rick) Gambino, Casey (Shaye) Dykins, Darren (Brandi) Yannacci, Cassie (Sean) Zyra, Derek (Sierra) Dykins 

Great Grandchildren – David Cabral, Dominic Martini, Joey Dykins, Viviana, Rick, & Verra Gambino, Dorian Reid Yannacci,   Blake & Colt Zyra, Addison & Hayden Dykins, Glenn & Nicholas Robinson, Dukane & Dallas Dykins,  Nolan, Rainbow, Calla & Ember Dykins.   

There will be no public visitation.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made payable to Amedisys Foundation mail to Amedysis Hospice, 100 Stoops Dr. Suite 300, Monongahela, PA
