Vivian Nellis Bushmire Cavalier, age 74 of Eighty- Four formerly of Heidelberg, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2021.

Born on November 13, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Harry Lawrence Bushmire Sr. and Nellie Elizabeth Bushmire.

Beloved wife of Francis Emil Cavalier for 42 years; and dear sister of the late Harry L. (Marcella) Bushmire Jr. of Illinois.

Vivian was a strong and bold woman who dealt with health issues her entire life.  As a Casting Crown’s song states “There are no scars in heaven…and all the old will be made new.” She’s at peace now.

Vivian began her working career at Grant’s Company in Pittsburgh, advancing to Hornes Dept. Store as private secretary. She later worked at Western Center (Morganza) in Canonsburg until they closed.  Then she transferred to the Public Assistance Office in Waynesburg where she retired in 2011.

Vivian loved her birds, which she fed daily and loved her critters. She had a heart full of love for animals and always said, “I get along better with four legged critters than two legged ones.”  She was a feisty, expressive person, who was always willing to help others.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

No services are scheduled at this time.

Memorial contributions may be made in Vivian’s name to The Washington Area Humane Society, 1527 PA-136, Eighty- Four, PA 15330.
