Carol Ann Hart

Carol Ann Hart, age 70, of Pleasant Hills, formerly of Lincoln Place and West Mifflin, passed away gently after a lengthy battle with cancer on August 23, 2022.

Born on October 31, 1951, she was the first of four daughters to Rose (DePaolo) and Eugene A. Mascara.

She was the cherished and treasured wife of Dick Hart for 44 years; devoted mother to Eric and Brian; loving sister of Linda (Bruce) Livengood, Julie (Stan Jankovic) Mascara and Lori (Mark) Colangelo; also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nephews and a great niece.

Carol loved to needlepoint angels. She enjoyed reading, especially, Mystery Novels, Thrillers and People Magazine. Carol lived life with amazing energy and love for family and friends. She was a lifelong Pittsburgher, and was a loyal and steadfast fan of her Steelers and Penguins. Carol was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and never passed up an opportunity to demonstrate her pride and loyalty to her school and city. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to acknowledge the care and compassion of Good Samaritan Hospice for the last 5 months of her life. Dick would also like to thank the good people at the Family Care Office at Magee Women’s Hospital for their support.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 11 am – 1 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. Prayers will be held at Calvary Cemetery, 718 Hazelwood Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15217 at 2:00 pm.
