Kind, caring and ornery… Those are a few words often used to describe Jeremy P. Zollars, 43, of Jefferson, Pennsylvania, who passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024.
Born July 8, 1980, Jeremy was a lifelong resident of Greene County, Pa. He was a 1999 graduate of Jefferson Morgan High School, where he played football and baseball. After graduating, he put his tremendous carpentry skills to use, working for various local construction companies, eventually joining the Local #432 Carpenters Union and at the time of his death, was the owner of One Call Remodeling & Construction. Jeremy was a very hard worker and was always first to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Throughout his life, Jeremy was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He never met a stranger and often left a lasting impression on everyone that he met.
Jeremy is the beloved son of Glenn & Margaret (Bateson) Zollars of Jefferson, PA. If you were to ask either of them, life got a lot more interesting when Jeremy came along. He was always up to something, playing a prank or cracking a joke, often times to their dismay.
Also left to cherish Jeremy’s memory and remember his antics are his siblings: Michelle (Charles) Dean, Greg (Joanna) Zollars, Beth (John) Hillman, Wesley (Jillian) Zollars, and Megan (Craig) Ostrich.
Jeremy also leaves behind Dustin, Chelsea, Isaac, Ian, Gavin, Laramie, Alison, Landon, Jaxson and Ashlyn, his many nieces and nephews whom he loved so very much.
Jeremy was a loved son, brother, uncle and friend but the title he held closest to his heart and was most proud of was being “Poppa” to his sons, Tucker and Nash Zollars, whom he infinitely loved and cherished and lived each day for. To him, they were his greatest accomplishment in life.
In addition to his parents, siblings, nieces, nephews and sons, Jeremy will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Waiting for Jeremy in Heaven was his father, Glenn, his Paternal grandparents Glenn and Ruby Zollars and his maternal grandparents Wylie and Margaret Bateson.
It is not the years in your life that matter but rather the life in your years. Despite Jeremy’s recent struggles, he managed to fill his 43 short years with a whole lot of life. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his silly personality, his ability to make everyone laugh, and how he could capture a room the minute he walked in it. With Jeremy now up there, all those in Heaven are surely in for a treat.
A celebration of Jeremy’s life will be held on Sunday, April 28th at 1pm
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation the Hope House Recovery in Uniontown, PA.
