Jeanine L. (Seitzinger) Wacker, age 98, of Peters Township passed peacefully at home with family by her side on September 10, 2022.

Beloved wife of the late Henry S. Wacker. They were married for 55 years and blessed with four children: Cynthia Rakow (Bill), Bud Wacker (Amy), Marc Wacker (Linda) and Audrey Fitzgerald (Tim); and cherished grandmother (Mumsy) to Meghan Wilson (Shawn), Erin Fitzgerald (Joey), Nolan Wacker, Brynne Wacker and TJ Fitzgerald – all of them her shining stars.

Jeanine was born in Hazelton, PA, the daughter of Robert L and Hilda Fox Seitzinger of Freeland PA.  Jeanine was pre-deceased by her beloved siblings: Esther Maier, Robert Seitzinger and William Seitzinger. Early in her life Jeanine attended Katherine Gibbs School in New York City and worked in Philadelphia where she met and married the love of her life, Henry Wacker in 1946. They soon relocated to the Pittsburgh area where she resided for the next 66 years; spending her time raising her family and enjoying her pride and joys…her 5 grandchildren.

She was a caring and giving person, always there for her family, friends and neighbors.  Jeanine loved spending many summers with family at Penn Lake in the Poconos. She was an avid sports fan who immersed herself in any sporting event that came on the tv, including her favorites, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Steelers.  She loved reading, cooking, canning vegetables, attending the operas with her friends and especially loved blasting her Christmas music at all times of the year for all to hear.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 11 AM at Faith Lutheran Church, 80 Bartley Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15241. If you wish to ride in procession with the family to the church, please report to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care at 10 AM on Thursday.

Jeanine loved flowers so they are appreciated, but in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Peters Township Public Library, 616 E McMurray Road, McMurray, PA 15317.
