On December 7,2022 Cyprian J. (Zip) Sulc, 87 died peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Zip was born September 10, 1935 in Uniontown, PA to parents Cyprian J. Sulc Sr. and Marie M. (Roskovensky) Sulc, who are deceased. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Sandra, and children Brian (Cindy) Sulc, of Austin, Texas, Karyn Sulc of Sacramento, CA, Tamara Bales of Canonsburg, PA, Darrin Bales of Bradenton, FL, and Todd Bales of West Chester, PA. Brothers: Joseph E. Sulc of Washington, PA, J. Gregory (Dianne) Sulc of Canonsburg, PA and Sister Maryann (Dick) Cahill of Washington, PA. And a sister Cynthia who is deceased. Grandchildren, Maggie Marranca, Emily Jones, Alec Bales, Brooke Bales, Lindsay Bowen, Diana Helfrich, and 9 Great Grandchildren.

Zip lived in Washington, PA. where his family owned and operated Royal Crown Bottling Company. The business was sold in 1990 and Zip continued to work in the soft drink business with 7-Up bottling of Pittsburgh, until his retirement in 2005. Zip was an active golfer and past member of the Lone Pine Golf Club and Nemacolin Country Club where he served as Treasurer in 2000. He was an instrument rated pilot out of Washington County Airport. He was past President of the Washington Jaycees, and Past President of the Royal Crown Bottling Association.
Zip’s viewing and service will be held at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care of McMurray PA on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 10 AM – 1 PM. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm.

The family would like to thank AHN Hospice, Pastor Wray, Michelle and Elizabeth who provided exceptional care for Zip during his battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
