Kathleen (Pierini) Zovko, age 77, Upper St. Clair, formerly of Carrick and Whitehall, passed away peacefully due to renal failure on February 20, 2023.
Born on October 6, 1945 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Oran and Viola Pierini.
Beloved wife of Joseph James Zovko for 52 years; dear sister of the late Patricia Lees; aunt of Leslie (Michael) Lees Densmore and Elizabeth (Lon) Lees Chow; also survived by many extended family members.
Kathleen was very creative, she was a professional dancer and singer, dance teacher and watercolor teacher at CCAC. She co-authored “Poetry & Paintings from PGH,” with husband Joseph.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 1-3 & 6-8 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd. McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 10:30 am at St. Louise de Marillac. Interment will follow at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kathleen’s name to Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation (paprolife.org) or Your favorite Animal Rescue League.
