Jeffrey Martin Plute, Sr., age 56 of Lawrence passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 9, 2017 in his home with his dear friends by his side. He was born October 19, 1960, the precious son of the late Ethel Mary Morgan Plute and William A. Plute, Sr.

Surviving is his loving and caring son, Jeffrey Martin Plute Jr., also of Lawrence to whom he was completely devoted.

Mr. Plute is also survived by serveral siblings. He was the dear and cherished brother of Kenneth (Blanche) Plute, Bryan (the late Beverly) Plute, Cynthia (Michael) Betarie, Carol (Joseph) McElravy, and William (Karen) Plute, along with many loving nieces and nephews, their children and grandchildren. He is also survived by several beloved friends including Blaine Wolford and Eric Richman who shared his residence at different times over the years.

Mr. Plute was a 1978 graduate of Canon McMillan High School. He worked for almost 40 years as a well respected carpenter and builder. He was a very kind and loving father, uncle, brother and friend who cared deeply for others and always gave unselfishly to his friends and family. He will be remembered and always cherished for his gentle spirit, his generosity and his amazing sense of humor. In his younger years, he was an excellent sportsman and fisherman. In his later life, he became an artist and avid reader, particularly of the Bible.

Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 1:00 – 7:00PM at Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317. A service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 14, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s cemetery in Cecil, PA immediately following.
