Bernard “Bernie” Kriger

Bernard “Bernie” Kriger, of Robinson Township, suddenly passed away on May 18, 2017, leaving behind his best friend and wife of 34 years, Linda, his daughters, Laura and Melissa (James Dixon) , his parents, Bernard and Lorraine, his brother, David, his loving grandsons, Evan, Eyan, and Ethan Rodgers, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends that became family.

Bernie was a larger than life character that had the best stories of his day to day encounters that always made you laugh. He had an amazing work ethic which always made work days enjoyable for all. He was extremely passionate about nature and all the beauty it provided. He assisted with the University of Pittsburgh Astronomy Research Program, a member of Safari Club International, and was also an Eagle Scout.

Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 12:00PM-3:00PM and 5:00PM-8:00PM at Joseph M. Somma Funeral Home, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136, (412) 787-1800. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 26, 2017 at 11:00AM.
