Cletus Charles Kroeger

 Cletus Charles Kroeger, 93, of McMurray, PA, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 19, 2018. Cletus was born September 21, 1924, in Elberfeld, IN. He grew up and lived in Evansville, IN, until 1993, lived in Houston, TX, until 2014 and, finally, lived in Bethel Park and McMurray, PA. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He graduated from the University of Evansville and was a paint chemist at SIP and Red Spot Paint & Varnish in Evansville. Cletus was a longtime Lutheran (LCMS) and was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Evansville, Christ Memorial Lutheran Church in Houston, and Zion Lutheran Church in Bridgeville, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude, in 1986. He was loved by and is survived by his son, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Linda; by his granddaughter, Tess Carter, her husband, Jesse, and their children Pippa, Rex, Casper, and Romy; by his granddaughter, Nell Wilson, her husband, Tanner, and their daughter Shea; by his granddaughter Kitt Kroeger; and by his extended family and friends. After a private family ceremony, he will be buried next to his wife and parents, Charles and Bessie, in Evansville. The family would like to thank the staff at Paramount Senior Living at Peters Township, especially those in the Memory Care and Hospice units, for the care they provided Cletus.
