Dear John and Family. I was so saddened to hear about Ann's passing. I cannot tell you how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Ann was a favorite cousin of mine along with Sylvia, her sister. Even though we live miles apart, she was always in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you all and give you peace. Much love, Barbara

John, my heart is sad to hear of Andrea's passing. It was a joy to work with her for 20 years; one reason is that she always said what she truly thought! Ann often spoke of you and the various things you got involved in. I remember hearing of your reading to the blind, your Alaska ocean-temperature cataloging cruise, learning to play the trumpet (or was it another type horn?), advanced math classes. While she didn't always understand your involvement in these things, it was clear she admired you for doing them. Take care of yourself, Jean Ann (Elmhurst)

Dear John and Family, I am so very sorry to learn that you lost your Mom. We Jews say, "May her name be remembered as a blessing" -- ie when she is remembered or quoted, it will be an honor evocative of all the goodness and kindness she brought to the world. I know she was and is so very proud of the son she raised, and the family you raised with her example. Much love, Gina
