God bless you and your family Dave. It was an honor and pleasure to have worked with you. When you retired the citizens of the city of Pittsburgh had lost a dedicated Police Officer. Thanks for being there when I needed help. Good speed Dave.

Deepest sympathies to the Trautman Family. I worked for Sergeant Trautman at Zone 5. He was an awesome person and very good boss. A very compassionate person that worked the streets with toughness but empathy. Great leader who will be missed. God Bless Sergeant Trautman.

I was very sad to learn of Dave’s passing. I also worked with him at zone 5. He was a good supervisor and always looked out for his crew. “Sarge” had a gentleness about him that put new rookie cops’ nerves at ease. He was truly a good man. Heaven gained a new guardian, and his shined boots will remain clicking. Rest in HIS peace “sarge”
