I only knew Grant "Buck" Jackson by his fame being a pitcher with the Pittsburgh Pirates and of course, the 1979 World Series. My husband and I had the privilege and honor of meeting him at the Peters Township VFW. My first impression was that he was a good looking man, but I quickly observed that his good looks came from the inside. He was so friendly with everyone, and yet, so humble at the same time. I just had to write to express the feelings of my heart. We, along with a countless number of people, are so deeply saddened by his passing! But now, we know he is "playing ball" again with the angels. For death may separate us for a time but Christ reunites us for eternity! As a retired school teacher, I am pleased to give to St. Jude.

To the Jackson family, I am a longtime Giant Eagle employee that had the privilege of getting to know Grant through the years. His infectious smile, personality and the stories that he would tell always put a smile on my face.He will be deeply missed by many and heaven is now lucky to receive a very special angel....Deepest sympathies to Millie and the Jackson Family.
