Age 89, of Upper St. Clair died on Wednesday, August 15, 2012.  She was born on September 12, 1922 in Rawl, West Virginia.  Helen is the daughter of the late Helen Balash and John Freivolt.  Loving mother of Bruce (Cindy) Barnes of Hilton Head Island, Allison Barnes of Upper St. Clair, and Susan (Ed) Courtney of Venetia.  Loving grandmother of Brittany Barnes, Dr. Rachael Courtney, Holly Courtney Sturgeon, Ed Courtney III, and the late MIchelle Barnes Rice.  Great grandmother of Alex Rice.  Helen had a true passion for modeling and was extremely proud of her print in the Sears Catalog.  She also enjoyed gardening and floral arranging.  A private service will be held to Celebrate her Life at Cremation & Funeral Care by Danielle Andy Belusko, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.  Followed by inurnment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 2900 Washington Road, Canonsburg, PA 15317.  Memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s to Children’s’ Hospital, 4401 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15224 .  Please view and sign family’s online guestbook at www.cremationfuneralcare.com.
