Richard “Dick” S. Hood, age 87, of Robinson Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. He was born in Pittsburgh on June 14, 1934 and is the son of the late Kelsey and Tressa Hood. Dick graduated from W & J College in June of 1958 and was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Dick worked as an executive for Mellon Bank and belonged to the PA Bankers Association and the National Association of Credit Management. He enjoyed playing in the “over 55” South Hills softball league and was an avid bowler. Dick was a staple in his community and he enjoyed spending time with friends and neighbors. He was a fun loving sport, well known for his sense of humor especially when he was poolside, eating a Klondike, and listening to Pirates baseball on the radio. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Miriam “Mimi” Eisel; stepsons Gary (Lisa) Eisel and Dale (Sally) Eisel; daughter-in-law Robin Miller; grandchildren Kelly, Tim, Connor, Nevaeh who called him “grandpoo” and Evan; great-grandson Declan. Private arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA.
