David W. Foley, Sr.

Obituary for David W. Foley Sr., July 9, 1946 – April 3, 2022

It is with great sorrow that we announce that David W. Foley Sr., 75, of Upper St. Clair, passed away on April 3, 2022 from natural causes.  He is the husband to Kathleen (deceased), the son of Richard and Ann Foley (deceased), and is survived by his sons David (Jennifer), Christopher, and Patrick (Courtney), his three grandchildren Luke, Adelynn, and Liam, and his sisters Kathy Cleaver of Pittsburgh and Mary Ann Cooney of Boardman, OH.  Dave began his life in Pittsburgh growing up in Ben Avon and Mt. Lebanon before moving to Los Angeles where he joined the L.A. County Sherriff’s Department.  From there, he pursued work as an electrician in Arizona after which he returned to Pittsburgh to finish his education and raise his family.  Dave worked in sporting goods sales as he pursued his passions of hunting and the outdoors with his sons.  He loved his family, his freedom, and his country.  Dave will be remembered for his charming personality, a good story, and his willingness to help a friend.  He enjoyed a good fire surrounded by family and friends.   A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Louise de Marillac Church in Upper St. Clair at 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 19, followed by internment at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery and a reception for family and friends.
