Alvin Rogers Ellis, age 91, of McMurray, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017. Born on September 2, 1925, he was the son of the late Florence and Orville Ellis. Beloved husband of the late Jean Ellis; loving father of Jim (Jeanne) Ellis, Denny (Greg) Brock), and Laura Gaertner (Joe Kresser);  cherished grandfather of Jimmy (Erin) Ellis, Jenna Ellis, Casey (Leighann) Brock, Danny (Kristin) Brock, Taylor (Alex) Anaya, Danny Gaertner, Cody Gaertner, and Kelsy Gaertner. Al was blessed with 7 great-grandchildren. Al was also predeceded in death by his dear brother-in-law Donald MacIvor.

Al was very patriotic man who served in World War II under the Marines. He loved golfing and meeting his buddies for coffee at McDonald’s every morning. Above all, he loved his family. Al will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

All services will be held with family only. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.
