Barbara Mae Riether, of Upper St. Clair, Pgh, age 73, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC.

She was the loving wife of Dale J. Riether, Sr. to whom she was married for 54 years.  Born on November 26, 1944 in Carnegie, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Lottie Jesiolkiewic.

Bobbie was cherished by those who truly knew her.  She exuded kindness and love to all. She was extremely proud of her family and her Polish heritage. Recently, Bobbie and Dale relocated to Myrtle Beach, SC as her dream was to live by the beach.

Bobbie gifted us with a legacy of love, laughter, traditions, family recipes, and precious memories. She loved cooking, entertaining company, playing cards, giving gifts, spending lots of time with her family and friends. Bobbie was affectionately known as the ‘baby hog’ as she hugged and cuddled any baby she could find. Grammie Bobbie truly loved to spoil her grandchildren, including the grand-dogs too! They live on as Grammie’s angels.

Barbara is survived by one daughter, Michelle Bevec, and her husband, John of Canonsburg, PA; two sons, David J. Riether, and his wife, Lisa of Fort Hill, PA and Dale J. Riether, Jr., and his wife Patricia of Bethel Park, PA; six grandchildren – JP Bevec, Tommy Riether, Tony Bevec, Alexandra Riether, Marlee Riether, and Melanie Riether; her sister Delores “Dee” Kochin, her brother Carl “Chick” Jesiokiewic as well as 4 late brothers – Joe, Melvin “Penner”, Joe “Coke”, Stan “Popeye” and 3 late sisters – Jean, Lottie “Bau”, Blance “BeeBee”; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are welcome Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 2-8 pm at Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.  A Funeral Mass will held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Louise de Marillac, 320 McMurray Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15241.  EVERYBODY MEET AT THE CHURCH. Dave and family, We are so saddened by the passing of Dave's mother. Even in the few times that we were privileged enough to have spent time with her...it was immediately clear that she was such a beautiful and kind spirit. The thoughts and prayers of your Upper St. Clair family and the Clark's are with you. Kevin Clark and family

Deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Mrs. Riether, a second mom to me and so many of the Deer Valley staff of the late 80's. She always was in our corner, supporting us and encouraging us to be the best we could be. Its hard to believe we won't see her smile again. She will live on in our hearts! Andy Beggs and family
