On June 23, 2020, Darcy Mueller lost her six-month battle with brain cancer, but don’t remember her for that. Instead, remember the always-on-the-go lady who loved music, nursing and being active.

Darcy, in her 61 years of life, spent her time singing in the choir at Holy Trinity, biking on the Montour trail with her husband, Dave, and lounging at the Robinson pool. She took a walk every day – rain, snow or shine – and may have known the neighborhood dogs’ names better than the humans.

She was incredibly proud of and passionate about her career in nursing, especially her job as the Sto-Rox School nurse. She even informed the doctors that they will have to do the March physicals in her place if she wasn’t out of the hospital in time. She enjoyed being part of the students’ lives, especially helping at proms, homecomings and any other events.

As the resident photographer at family events, she made sure everything was documented and although many moaned, the family was grateful. Make sure you take a photo next time you are with your loved ones, or just because!

Darcy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Dave, and two daughters, Stephanie Pedersen and Natalie Mueller. She was loved by many. Her family included her son-in-law, Brad Pedersen; her aunt, Patty Claus; sister, Cheryl Lieb and family; and brother, Bill Dolinick and family and the extended family of the Mueller side.

Please join the family in remembering the good times on Monday, June 29, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136. (412) 787-1800. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 5718 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks, PA 15136.

The family is also hosting a memorial celebration on July 11, 2020. If you would like to join, please contact Stephanie Pedersen or Dave Mueller for details.

Condolences to the Mueller family for the loss of Darcy who was an inspiration to all on Fawnvue Drive as she walked daily and rode bikes frequently with Dave. She will be sadly missed as she was always friendly and compassionate and a wonderful next door neighbor for the past 27 years. May she Rest In Peace in heaven!! The Streib Family

Dear Dave, Stephanie and Natalie: I am shocked to learn of Darcy’s death and so very sorry for your loss. She was always the first to volunteer for anything at Sto-Rox and was passionate about her work and commitment to students. When I was struggling she always had a friendly message and a listening ear. I use a bar daily to do squats that she gave me. My deepest sympathies. Melanie Kerber, Ocean Pines, Md

So very sorry to hear of Darcy’s passing - please accept our sympathies. She sang with our West Hills Choir in the late eighties, and was always such a joy to be around. Sending our love and prayers.

To the Mueller Family, I am so saddened at the loss of Darcy. I have worked with her for many years and will miss seeing her!!! She was always so positive, I will miss our talks and her little gifts she would give me "just because" like her jam from your yard. Please take comfort in knowing that she was appreciated and loved by many. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. Sincerely, Beth Harvey
