Darryl R. Gray

Darryl Richard Gray, age 70, of Scott Township, PA, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, PA, passed away on January 3, 2024. Born on August 19, 1953 in Pittsburgh, PA, he is the son of Corinne McCarty and the late Robert Gray. Beloved brother of Dan Gray, Didi Holmes, and Chip Gray. Loving uncle of Corilynn, Erika, Colin, Casey, Turner, and Jackson. He is also survived by 5 great nephews and 2 great nieces.

Darryl was an avid fisherman and lived for his yearly family trips to Ocean City, New Jersey. What started between brothers was passed down to the next generation. With his nephews joining the ranks and filling boats, Darryl acted as the pilot. He was happiest on the water or by the shore with a fishing pole in hand, and the salt air in his lungs. His love for fishing was matched by his love for dogs and animals in general; he spoiled his dogs mercilessly. Darryl was a loving and devoted son to his mother. He will be greatly missed.

Friends are welcome for a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 6th at Mt. Lebanon Christian Church, 367 Cedar Boulevard, 15228 from 11:00-12:00.  Arrangements are entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care.
