It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Donald J. Conti, 74, of Moon Township, on Sunday, October 3, 2021.  He passed peacefully in sleep due to advanced stages of Multiple Myeloma with his beloved wife, Doreen (Kazura) Conti, by his side as she has been for the past 57 years.  He was born in McKees Rocks, son of the late Dorni and Mary (Manno) Conti of Sheridan, PA. Donald did everything for his family and was the personification of the phrase, ‘actions speak louder than words.’  A quiet and soft-spoken man, he showed his love through his willingness to help his family and selfless acts of kindness.  As the patriarch of the family, he modeled to us that family came before all else.  He was always ready to help out whenever anyone needed, lending his knowledge, strength, and warm heart.  Donald made us all laugh and smile through his sense of humor and quick one-liner jokes which we will never forget, but forever miss.  A loving father and hero to his children, he leaves behind his daughter Nicole L. Duncan and her husband Paul, of Moon Township; and his son Dean J. Conti and his wife Joanna, of Moon Township. He was PapPap to his four grandsons, Zachary P. Duncan, Jake J. Duncan, Lorenzo D. Conti and Luca D. Conti. Brother to Dennis Conti and the late Dean Conti.  The family will honor his life privately together; however, welcome those close to Don to share condolences or fond memories at pittsburghcremation.com.

Doreen, Nikki, Paul, Dino, and Joanna and grandsons...this world has lost yet another beautiful soul. Don was one of the good guys, always smiling and soft spoken and an extremely kind and gentle spirit. My heart is hurting knowing the pain you are all going through, individually and as a family. My thoughts and my prayers will continue for each of you. I love you all XoXoXo

Dear Doreen, Dino and family and Nikki and family: Michael and I want to say how sorry we are at the loss of Don. He was such a nice man. Don and Doreen always made us feel welcome on our visits to Pittsburgh. We also were always thankful for how he and Doreen welcomed our Joanna into the family and watched over her like their own. We know his loss leaves a large hole in family. May you be comforted by the legacy he left behind, two wonderful children and a life well lived. With love, Mary and Michael

I can’t say enough about Don for the person that he was to me. As soon as I came into Dino‘s life, Don welcomed me with open arms and treated me as if I was a daughter. I could go on and on about the all of the things that he did for me through the years, always willingly, without question and with love. But the greatest legacy that I hope he knows, is the children he raised together with Doreen. The values, hearts, kindness, and self sacrifice that they show for the people around them were passed on through him and Doreen. I am so thankful and blessed to be a part of this family and have found the most wonderful husband and so much of Dino is a product of how he was raised. Don will continue to live on in Dino and as my boys get older, I see them taking mould in the same way and I know that part of him will continue to live on in them. We will forever keep you close in our hearts.

Mr. Conti always treated me like one of his own & was a testament to what a father, mentor & friend should be. He loved his family selflessly & is looking down proudly now. Always by our side & forever in our hearts.

My heart goes out to the Conti family who welcomed me into their home in which I never left hungry. Mr. Conti was the salt of the earth and would only speak when it mattered. But when he spoke, I always listened. He was strong inside and out and very talented in multiple trades. I always felt like I learned a lot from him just being in his presence. I’ll never forget how he carried himself and how strong he stayed throughout all of his own physical trials. I want to ensure you, Mrs. Conti, Nikki and Dino that I am here for you. Love you guys.
