Eugene “Gene” Raymond Chabrier

Eugene “Gene” Raymond Chabrier, age 82, of Eighty-Four, passed away on April 10, 2024 surrounded by his loving family and caregivers.

Born on September 5, 1941, in Canonsburg, he was the son of the late Violet and Armand Chabrier.

Beloved husband for 60 years of Peg Chabrier; loving father of two children; cherished grandfather of five grandchildren.

A graduate of South Fayette HS, Gene found his calling in the grocery industry, advancing to the executive level with several convenience store chains. 

He was a generous family man. Gene was an avid outdoorsman, a lifelong hunter and dedicated fisherman. He was chief architect of the beloved “Santa Land”, an elaborate holiday light display at his home that raised money for many local and national charities for over 35 years.

Gene was a proud member of the American Legion Post 613, and held offices at the Moose Lodge and Hackett Club.  Gene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
