Jeffrey Yakubic, 64, of McMurray, Pennsylvania, succumbed to his courageous battle with cancer on November 1, 2018.  His loving wife of 41 years by his side.

He was born on August 26, 1954, a son of the late Raymond and Jeanne Yakubic of Rostraver Township.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Pam, and children Kelly (Craig) Baldassare of McMurray, and John (Sarah) Yakubic of Doylestown, PA.  He was an adored “G-PA” to his six grandchildren; Jackson, Graycin and Griffin Baldassare, Annika, Benjamin, and Emilia Yakubic; a sister Kathy (Ron) Smith and brother Rick (Karen) Yakubic and many nieces and nephews.

Jeff loved his family and friends and spent his years bringing laughter, support, and patience into their lives.  He worked as a general contractor for the past 15 years but was forced to give up the career he loved due to his health.  He always appreciated the time he had with his family, whether it be cheering on his grandchildren from the sidelines, taking an adventure with his son, cooking with his beloved wife, or spending an afternoon laughing with his daughter.  He also enjoyed movies, holidays with family, watching his favorite sports teams on TV, and jamming to his favorite bands.  Jeff was always there to help relatives and friends with household projects, was known for making everyone feel welcome in his home or making you smile with his witty sense of humor.  Though his life ended early, the years that he had were truly wonderful.  Jeff had a beauitful marriage, and children, family and friends that will miss him dearly.  He was filled with joy and peace with the legacy he leaves behind.

A special thank you to the nurses at West Penn Hospital for their loving care and support during his final days.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm at Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at WWW. LLS.ORG

Kelly and Craig, I'm sorry. Stephanie and I will always remember Jeff's kind-heartedness when he graciously tried her vegan cookies and went the extra mile and said they were delicious. (But we all knew that was not true).

To the Yakubic family... Jeff did many jobs for us over the years. We got to know him; he was a special friend. I tried to email him recently but I didn't receive a reply. We were worried. Now, we are just sad. Sending God's blessings and comfort to all of his loved ones. Jeff is one of a kind.
