Jerzy S. Zderkowski

Jerzy S. Zderkowski, 80 of Pennsbury Village in Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. He was born in Lubocza, Poland on July 9, 1943, to Roman and Maria Zderkowski. He is survived by his sister Anna Pociecha and her family, all residing in Krakow, Poland.

Jerzy was a graduate of the prestigious Academy of Economics, Krakow, Poland where he received two master’s degrees in management and international management – MS in Economics and received an MBA from the Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh. For many years Jerzy was involved in teaching and research in the areas of business administration, management, and especially international business and marketing both in the United States and abroad. He was a professor at the University of Pittsburgh, Chatham College, California University of Pennsylvania, University of Phoenix, and ad-hoc at Duquesne University. He was working on completion of his Ph.D. in international management. In his retirement years he worked at the Giant Eagle Market District in Robinson Township.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Church (Archangel Gabriel Parish), 5718 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks, PA 15136. Burial will take place in Krakow Poland with his family. Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA.
