John Christopher Maher of Venetia, PA, formerly of Buffalo, NY died on January 15, 2021 at the age of 53 after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Sheryl Maher (née Budrow) of 25 years, loving father of Delton (Ashley) Arno, Jason (Sarah) Arno, Lydia Maher, and Abigail Maher and adoring papa to Olivia Arno. John truly lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with family and friends.

John was born in Buffalo, NY on February 17, 1967 to the late Jack and Lydia (Luisi) Maher. Loving brother of Laurie (Bill) Nice, Kerry (Joe) Krupa, Jacqueline (Ronald) Mandell and the late Michael Maher. He graduated from St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute and worked as a National Sales Director for AFC Industries.
John was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed sports, traveling, classic cars, and practical jokes. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Due to capacity limitations, friends and family are asked to make reservations at jcmreserve@gmail.com to be listed for the Mass of Christian Burial which will be held at St. Joseph’s University Parish (3269 Main Street Buffalo, NY) on Saturday January 23, 2021 at 11 am. For those unable to attend, there will be a livestream of the service on Sheryl Maher’s Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Buffalo City Mission.
