John “Jack” D. Liggett

John “Jack” D. Liggett, age 75 of Canonsburg, PA passed away peacefully on August 15, 2021. Born on December 29, 1945, he was the son of the late Annabelle and John P. Liggett. Beloved husband to Barbara Chesnik. Loving father to Jason Liggett and Jennifer (Andrew) Allen. Cherished Grandpap Jack to Luke and Dean Allen. Loving brother to Mark Liggett. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Liggett Dunn. Jack will also be dearly missed by his loving dog, Chloe

He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Jack retired from the Pennsylvania State Police. He was an active member of the Elks Club of Washington, PA. Jack was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams and listening to music. He also cherished the time he spent with his grandsons.

A private internment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.

I worked with Jack for many years , drank many beers together , and told a lot of stories.. Jack was a music lover , for sure , we attended numerous concerts , including the one where he lost his hearing in one ear. Jack was always fun to be around and he will be missed.....Rest in Peace Bro
