Joseph Patrick Garvin, 71 of Ingram, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 29, 1952 to John and Sarah Garvin. Joe was an avid Philadelphia sport fan. He was a softball coach for Women’s Metro Sports and enjoyed playing the game himself. He also loved watching his grandkids play sports. Joe was a regular customer at Hanlon’s Restaurant and he will be missed by many friends and family.
He is the loving father of Kelly (Ken) Loney and Joe (Leslie) Garvin; brother of Kathleen Trigg, Teresa Garvin, Tommy Garvin, the late Mary Del Guidice, the late Patricia Power, and the late Jack Garvin; adoring grandfather of Sarah Loney, Jameson and Kellan Garvin, and the late Ethan Joseph Loney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 4-8 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136. A Blessing service will be held on Tuesday at 10 am at the funeral home followed by entombment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Coraopolis, PA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Joe’s family to help with expenses.
