Linda Kosar 74 of Bethel Park went to be with the love of her life John Kosar after battling a long illness and fighting to stay until the very end. She was born April 11, 1943 to the late William and Martha Skelly and sister to the late Robert Skelly. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High school class of 1961 and went on to college at Penn State and was a Phi Beta Kappa.

She was the beloved mother to Kevin Kosar and Kristin(John) Smearman. Grandmother to Caitlyn Oxbrough and Alec Oxbrough. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Linda was a homemaker and made a beautiful home for her family. She had a knack for decorating and could turn any room into a showplace. She also loved Christmas and spent days decorating her entire house into a winter wonderland. She delighted in waking up on Christmas morning and seeing her grandchildren open their presents. She never missed an episode of Dancing with the Stars or American Idol and loved Olympic figure skating.

She retained her wit and sense of humor until the end and was a favorite patient at Townview Nursing home where the staff took such good care of her. In the end she was watching CNN saying she was going to haunt Donald Trump.

The family would like to thank the hospice team of Jenna, Stan and Chaplain Kevin And the nurses and aides at Townview Nursing home for taking such good care of Linda in her final months.

There will be no services and the family will hold a private celebration of life .

What a lovely tribute to your mom, Kristin. My condolences to you and Kevin, and your family. The picture is exactly as I remember Linda when we were neighbors. She fought a long battle, and now she has entered into immortality, united with John. God, in His mercy, will ease the pain of your loss. May He keep you in His care.
