Martha Jane Busch, age 84 of Allegheny County passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019. Born on September 30, 1935, she was the daughter of Virginia Jean and John Frederick Busch. She is survived by her sons Ken Klages of Largo, FL and Scott Klages of Yorba Linda, CA and three granddaughters.

Jane was always interested in art and music. She enjoyed square dancing, painting, and was a president of the Fox Chapel Area Women’s Club. She joined the Sweet Adelines where she sang soprano, and sang in the choir at Memorial Park church for 10 years and more recently at the Ingomar Methodist Church where she sang into her 80’s.

Having had fibromyalgia for many years, Jane started a support group for those afflicted with the condition. When Jane noticed that someone needed help, she always offered a hand. Even in her 80’s, she helped those women who suffered with Alzheimer’s disease. Jane will be deeply missed by all.

At age 79, Jane moved to Cumberland Woods Village where she enjoyed new friendships and the company of her dear little Westie, Ty.

At the family’s request, all services will be held privately. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks PA 15136.

Dear Family, I am very sad but also know that Jane was struggling courageously when I saw her in December. We sang together in the Mem.Park choir and were sisters in PEO. I will miss her when I so often drive past Cumberland Woods. She is now singing with other saints "who from their labors rest." Helen Houggy

Oh so sorry to hear about dear Jane! Such a sweet kind hearted woman! Always helping others, especially women! I knew her as a fellow PEO! God Bless her! Now she is with her sweet dogs and others that have gone before her!! I know there is more to her story than her obituary says!

To Jane's son's, So sorry for your lose, I was Jane's hairdresser and friend for many years. We conversed about Lila Simmons as I also did her hair. My mom and Dad shopped at their garden place on Thompson Run Rd when I was a little girl. We also square danced together for many years. I really liked her and enjoyed her company. Dear Scott and Ken, We are saddened to learn of your Mom’s passing. I talked with her about 3 weeks ago, and she said she wasn’t doing well. We always had such great and fun times over many years with your parents. Although she and I didn’t talk often, we considered her a very dear friend. That is a lovely picture of her. I know she suffered considerable pain for many years, so now she is at peace. Please accept our deepest sympathy. Sincerely, Pat and John Weyrauch
