Martha Jane Busch, age 84 of Allegheny County passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019. Born on September 30, 1935, she was the daughter of Virginia Jean and John Frederick Busch. She is survived by her sons Ken Klages of Largo, FL and Scott Klages of Yorba Linda, CA and three granddaughters.

Jane was always interested in art and music. She enjoyed square dancing, painting, and was a president of the Fox Chapel Area Women’s Club. She joined the Sweet Adelines where she sang soprano, and sang in the choir at Memorial Park church for 10 years and more recently at the Ingomar Methodist Church where she sang into her 80’s.

Having had fibromyalgia for many years, Jane started a support group for those afflicted with the condition. When Jane noticed that someone needed help, she always offered a hand. Even in her 80’s, she helped those women who suffered with Alzheimer’s disease. Jane will be deeply missed by all.

At age 79, Jane moved to Cumberland Woods Village where she enjoyed new friendships and the company of her dear little Westie, Ty.

At the family’s request, all services will be held privately. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks PA 15136.

Please view and sign the family’s online guestbook at pittsburghcremation.com.

I will miss my lovely, kind-hearted grandmother. She was a generous soul who always sought to serve others in any manner she could. Grandma Jane will certainly be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her, but is now happily walking with God. ????

Jane was courageous and caring throughout her life and was generous to all she loved. All of our daughters were lucky to have her as a grandmother. She had a lively wit and a great sense of humor. Intelligence, wonderful organization, and innovative ideas made her a leader in whatever she was in interested in. I would not be surprised if she was now helping the angels in heaven! ♥️

My name is Marlena, and Jane was my grandma. She was a wonderful person, and she helped me so much in nurturing my artistic side by encouraging me to draw, and she helped me in learning how to deal with my Fibromyalgia. She always was there to offer a hand, and we'd share things we found with each other that eased our symptoms. Jane struggled through so much, but she was brave, and fought valiantly until the end. I feel blessed that I got to fly to Pennsylvania to say goodbye in October, and I'm glad my dad got the chance to fly back and say goodbye to her the very day she moved to heaven. Grandma Jane was so funny, and was strong enough to find a way to make light of the darkness in life. She taught me so much and I miss her dearly, as I know everyone who knew her does.. but I take comfort in knowing her pain is gone. Rest In Paradise Grandma Jane. Your memory will live on. Love, -Marlena Klages

My deepest sympathies to your family. I had the pleasure of singing with Jane in the Ingomar Celebration Singers for a few years, and the pleasure of hearing her sing in the choir for more years after that! She was well-loved, and her presence touched many lives.
