Mary “Shelly” Novak, age 71, of Washington, PA passed away with her family by her side on January 16, 2024. Born on October 15, 1952 in Pittsburgh, PA she is the daughter of the late Dolores Murano and Harry Best.
Beloved wife of David Anthony Novak. Loving Mother to Jason Paul Novak and Melissa Ann Novak, Cherished grandmother to Matthew Aaron (Daunice) Novak, Michael Anthony Novak, and Anthony Lee Novak. Devoted sister to Bobby Best.
She was preceded in death by her brother Kevin Mark Best.
Mary retired after her extensive 30 year career with the telephone company.
Mary was full of life with an infectious laugh that delighted her family and friends. She was an avid reader who loved to gamble, watch Hallmark movies, spend time at the beach and spend time with her family. She was an excellent cook who was never warm unless the temperature was 90 degrees or higher. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday January 22, 2024 from 3 pm through time of blessing service at 6:30 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.
