Richard L. “Rick” Jacobs, 66 of Venetia, PA formerly of Washington, PA passed away unexpectedly Thursday March 14, 2024 at St. Clair Hospital.

Son of the late Raymond M. Jacobs and Helen (Slivka) Jacobs of Washington

Survived by:

Beloved husband of Cheryl (Hallam) Jacobs also of Venetia, PA formerly Washington, PA. Loving father of Jolie (TJ) Welling, Natalie (Michael) Perry and Andrew Jacobs. Pappy of Sofia Welling, Savannah and Scarlett Perry. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Graduate of Trinity High School Class of 1976 and attended The Art Institute of Pittsburgh for graphic design.

Before his retirement he was a cartoonist, draftsman, graphic designer and art director of Froggy Radio for many years. Once he retired he enjoyed the simpler things in life like going to his granddaughters softball games, basketball games, dance recitals and cheerleading games. He also enjoyed going shopping with his family, taking walks, drawing and creating on his I-Pad, creating characters and painting them, spending time outside with his wife, and dogs on the deck. He loved fast cars, all things Jeep, listened to all genres of music but country and Fleetwood Mac were his favorite. He loved the beach. Especially the Outerbanks NC. He was always quite the jokester but you could easily sit down and have serious conversation with him.

Always a devoted husband, father and pappy, his family meant everything to him including his dogs and granddoggies. To know him was to love him.

A memorial service for Rick will be held Monday March 25, 2024 beginning at 4pm to pay your respects to the family followed immediately by a service with a dinner to follow at Laboratory Presbyterian Church – 23 Manse Street. Washington, PA 15301. Family and friends are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers please reach out to the family about any donations.

So sad to know that this good man has moved on. He was the kind of neighbor we always wanted. Upbeat, caring, kind hearted. I felt better after being around him. His smile and good nature will always be with me. Go in peace, Rick.
