Roberta Yaggi Krieger, on August 3, age 88, formerly of Banksville. Loving mother of Kathryn Bashaar (Allen), Cheryl Thon (Louis), and Kenneth Krieger (Anne). Proud grandmother of Margaret Bashaar (Dan Nowak), Charles Bashaar (Bree), Louis Thon III, Alexander Krieger and Austin Krieger, and great-grandmother of Benjamin Hoffman. Also survived by her brother, Frederick Yaggi. She was predeceased at a young age by her husband, W. Kenneth Krieger, and did the hard work of raising her children as a single mother. Also pre-deceased by parents Norbert and Mary Yaggi, sister Joan Yaggi Walsh, and brother Richard Yaggi.

“Bobbie” worked for many years as a secretary at Psychological Service of Pittsburgh, and enjoyed square dancing, line dancing, mystery novels and crossword puzzles. The whole family gathered at her house for holidays, especially July 4, with a perfect view of the Dormont fireworks from her front yard. She loved watching her grandchildren grow up, interacting with them and attending their events. Bobbie was a gentle soul with a sharp sense of humor, loved by everyone whose lives she touched.

Family and friends welcomed on Sunday, August 7, from noon until 8 p.m. at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 8, at St. Bernard’s Parish, 311 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, followed by burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Bobbie was my mom’s cousin. I remember visiting her many times on trips to Pittsburgh. She was also so kind and gentle. She was a great friend to my mom and I know she loved her family dearly. Rest In Peace.
