William T. Schirnhofer, age 88, of Moon Run, PA, passed peacefully at home on Sunday, July 2, 2023. Born on June 15, 1935 in Pittsburgh, he is the son of the late William and Dorothy Schirnhofer. Beloved husband of 62 years of Theresa Schirnhofer; loving father of Linda (Bob) Barthen, Toni (George) Beltz, William (Jeannine) Schirnhofer, and the late Joseph (surviving spouse Susan) Bonkowski; grandfather of Nicholas (Janice) Barthen, Jennifer Minamyer, Brandi (Brady) Smith, Jillian Bonkowski, Ryan (Amisha) Beltz, Courtney (Chris) Grant, Sydney and Peyton Schirnhofer; great-grandfather of Jaxon, Grace, Christopher, Lennon, Kaira, and Camryn; brother of Kenneth (Jeanette) Schirnhofer, Sandy Schirnhofer, and Linda Cole.
Bill had a passion for sports. He was a little league coach for many years and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 1:00-3:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care 5405 Steubenville Pike Robinson Township, PA 15136. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11:00am followed by entombment in Resurrection Cemetery. Final entombment will occur at a later date in Holy Souls Cemetery Mausoleum, Robinson Township, PA.
