Doris Green, age 61, of Pittsburgh, passed on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Beloved wife of Vernon E. Green. Born on March 2, 1961 and raised in the Garfield area, she is the daughter of the late Raymond and Florance Ninehouser. Loving mother of her one and only daughter Veronica Rae Green; loving sister of Raymond (Mary) Ninehouser, Linda (Richard) Treater, Mary Anne (Dominic) Gasbarro, twin sister Dolores (Evan) Prettyman, and the late Robert Ninehouser; and also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Doris’ hobbies and interests include cheering on Steeler games every Sunday, loved herself a shopping spree, and watching TV + movies with her favorite genres being action and drama. Doris cared for many fur babies and pets over the years though she was an avid cat lover. She worked at West Penn Hospital and Magee Womens Hospital for over 40 years in patient care. Doris was one of a kind and will forever leave an impression on everyone she met.
Friends and family are welcomed for Doris’ Celebration Repast of Life on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 5:00-7:00pm at Ancient Order of Hibernians 5203 Carnegie St. Pittsburgh, PA 15201. Please wear your Steeler gear/black and gold to honor Doris.
