Joseph S.”Steve” Egyed, Jr., age 77, of McKees Rocks, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 16, 2023. Born on August 28, 1945 in Blackwell, Oklahoma he is the son of Betty Jo Wright and the late Joseph S. Egyed, Sr. He is survived by his children, Walter (Cynthia) Egyed, Matthew (Paula) Egyed, Melissa (Daniel) Stipetich, and Amity (Michael) McClelland; as well as his siblings, Shari (the late Kenneth) Froeschle, Keith (Bonita) Egyed, Kevin (Mary Frances Hogan) Egyed, and the late Amy S. Miller. He is the grandfather of 12 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Joseph “Steve” Egyed, Jr. was a graduate of McKees Rocks High School. Upon graduation, Steve enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Steve worked for nearly 40 years at the former Shenango Coke Works as an electrician. Private arrangements entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, Robinson Township.
