Joseph Richard Armitage, Jr., of Washington, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday April 1, 2017. Born on March 19, 1957 in Hawaii, he was the son of the late Gertrude and Joseph Armitage Sr. He was the loving husband of Tina Sutterfield – Armitage for 18 wonderful years; dear brother of Michael Armitage and Karen (Mike) Brennan; beloved step father of Chris Corbin, Michael (Jessica) Corbin, Joshua Corbin and Steven Corbin; treasured grandfather of Michael, Olivia, Dominic, Eliza and four adopted grandchildren Christina, Madison, Joey and Kaylee. He is survived by his niece Victoria Gallardo.
He loved to watch war movies and spend time with grandchildren.
He served three active tours with the army 1975-1978.
He was a caring, loving and giving person. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held at the National Cemetery of Alleghenies, Friday, April 7, 2017 at 10:30AM. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CEMETERY. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724 260 5546.
