Ward was a good man and father. He spent 18 years with my mom taking care of her when my father passed away. I used to tease him by calling him “Mario” and asking him to help me collect coins. And he would always have a great comeback. I love you Ward and hope you are resting easy in heaven. God bless your family and I hope they understand what a great person you were.

I knew Ward for only a short time, while he was working at a business that was run by a friend of mine, but it didn't take very long to know that he was a wonderful person. I was going through a particularly difficult period in my life, and he was always kind and supportive. He told me not to give up, saying that once I'd had a chance to regroup, I'd be ready to take on the world again. His words meant a lot to me, because I could tell that he spoke them with compassion and sincerity. The world seems a little bit colder and emptier now, knowing that he's no longer in it. My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to all who loved him and are missing him.
