Raymond Pattison Geinzer

Raymond Pattison Geinzer, age 88 of Castle Shannon, passed away after complications of COVID-19 on Sunday, October 11, 2020.

Born on January 29, 1932, he was the son of the late Grace and Gerard Geinzer.

Beloved husband of Phyllis MacVicar Geinzer; loving father of Brad (Rebecca) Geinzer and Doug Geinzer; grandfather of Zachary Geinzer and Alexa Geinzer; brother of the late Don Geinzer and Jack Geinzer; also survived by nieces and nephews.

Ray had an engineering degree from Carnegie Tech.  He retired from St. Francis Hospital where he was an industrial engineer.  He is a veteran of the US Army, Korean Conflict. Ray played duplicate bridge in the Pittsburgh area with Phyllis starting in the early 1980s.  Over those 40 years, he earned Ruby Life Master status.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 2 pm in The Veteran’s Section of Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
