Walter Adair Sell

Walter Adair Sell of Lawrence PA passed away on Monday the 9th of October 2023.  Born in Johnstown, PA on July 25th 1934.  He was the son of the late Walter Sell and Mary (Adair) Sell. Proceeded in death by his son, Douglas Walter Sell and Brother, John Sell   He is survived by his wife, Lynette (Anderson) Sell, His son, Scott, Granddaughter Halie (Sell) Karmazin, grandson in law, Paul Karmazin, Grandson, Hayden Sell and great grandchildren, Makenna and Jaxtyn Karmazin.

Walter graduated from Valley Forge military academy in 1952 after which he attended Gettysburg College where he graduated with a Bachelor of the arts in 1957.  Beginning in 1957, he served in the United States Army Air Defense and in 1960 served in the United States Army Reserves as a 1st Lieutenant.

He worked as a general manager for Sears for many years and in multiple locations.  In 1992, Walter became a certified financial planner and worked in this capacity until retiring earlier this year from his employment with Ameriprise Financial.

Walter had a quick wit and a dry sense of humor.  He will be greatly missed by both his family and those who were his clients and friends.
