Albert Anthony Andy, family man and prominent Western Pennsylvania entrepreneur, died peacefully at his home Saturday, October 9, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. He was 89.

Albert was born March 8, 1932.  Son of the late Costanza Mazzei and Beneditto Audia in Houston, Pennsylvania.  The youngest in a large family, Albert came from the most humble beginnings.

With his brothers, Albert founded Washington Penn Plastics in 1954.  His first processing equipment, an old wringer washing machine, was purchased with the money he made by selling his family cow. With vision and determination Washington Penn Plastics grew into what is now, a global operation.

Albert was most proud of the impact his company had on its employees and could be found greeting them as they arrived for work each day or as he walked the plant floor.   He took pride in the thousands of jobs that the company created and the impact it had in helping local families.  Albert believed and lived by the principle that nobody worked for him, they worked with him.  His family will continue his legacy.

A soft spoken man with a heart of gold, Albert considered the needs of others, including strangers over himself.  Albert generously supported countless community organizations often under the name “Anonymous” and was the founder of the Audia Caring Heritage that addressed the medical and educational needs of underserved populations.

Albert was a simple honest man that became friends with those that he met on the road of life.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and could often be found in his garden tending to his tomatoes and peppers. Albert was also a man of faith and a devoted Catholic.

Albert spent fifty-five years with the love of his life and wife Terrill Faux Andy who shared his love and commitment to their family.

He was the proud father of two sons whom he cherished above all else, Robert (Amor) Andy and Louis Andy.  “Pap” to his beloved grandchildren Christina Andy (Brian) Hoyt, Danielle Andy (Rod) Belusko and Nicholas (Karli) Andy.  Pappy Albert to his adored great-grandchildren Abram Kade Andy, Enzo Albert Notaro, Sophia Amor Belusko, Adelina Josephine Belusko, Santino Joseph Belusko, Anika Fox Andy, and Carmina Germaine Belusko.

Albert was his family patriarch and nothing brought him more joy then when they were all together.

Albert is also survived by his sister Betty Cargnello, and blessed with a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends whom he considered family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters whom he loved deeply.

Friends and family will be welcomed on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 1:00 until 8:00 PM at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA.  The family kindly asks that those in attendance wear a facial covering.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Miraculous Medal Church (Oscar Romero Parish),  300 Pike Street, Meadow Lands, PA 15347. Everyone please meet at the church. Private Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice under the name “Anonymous”.

To the Andy family, my father worked for Mr. Andy for many years, he was such a special man and our family was very blessed to have known him. He truly was a selfless man, that helped anyone he could and expected nothing in return. My parents Bob and Virginia White looked upon him with such a great admiration, and were proud to be called one of his many friends. May God bless your family at this truly sad time, I firmly believe Mr. Andy is in Heaven sitting with our Heavenly Father and our Heavenly Father is saying to him 'Well done, well done my good and faithful one', what a wonderful man he truly was, and will be missed tremendously by all who knew him!
