I remember sitting in my car, in front of my son's Boy Scout hall, and I get this call from a number I did not recognize. I say "hello". On the other end, this voice says "hello, this is Anthony Casmerik, your nephew." (At this point I was beside myself! I was both surprised and very proud that my nephew reached out to his Uncle! This took guts!) Anthony told me all about himself. He's likes to fix cars up. He is working towards becoming a mechanic. ( I actually forgot exactly what trade he was pursuing). But I do remember encouraging him! He sounded like a man who just wanted to break out and start his life! He also wanted to come visit my family in Washington state. I told him about his three cousins Nate, Sammie and Kaitie. I remember being so proud and thrilled with that conversation. And was really looking forward to a relationship with Anthony. Over the years, we kept in touch via Facebook and over Messanger. I know he was going to some stuff. I'm really sad that he is gone. I regret not taking the opportunity to be the annoying Uncle that's always calling to butt into his life to see how he is doing. I'm sorry Anthony! But some day I will see my nephew in heaven and I will listen to him talk about how he likes to work on cars. My condolences to Audrey, Glenn, and Samuel. I'm sorry for your loss.

To Glenn (Kaz) and Audrey. Words simply cannot express the sympathy I feel for the loss of Anthony. To Anthony, you were a truly honorable man. A hard working person, and though with what little time I knew you, a good friend. Take good care buddy.
