Barbara Mae Riether, of Upper St. Clair, Pgh, age 73, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC.

She was the loving wife of Dale J. Riether, Sr. to whom she was married for 54 years.  Born on November 26, 1944 in Carnegie, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Lottie Jesiolkiewic.

Bobbie was cherished by those who truly knew her.  She exuded kindness and love to all. She was extremely proud of her family and her Polish heritage. Recently, Bobbie and Dale relocated to Myrtle Beach, SC as her dream was to live by the beach.

Bobbie gifted us with a legacy of love, laughter, traditions, family recipes, and precious memories. She loved cooking, entertaining company, playing cards, giving gifts, spending lots of time with her family and friends. Bobbie was affectionately known as the ‘baby hog’ as she hugged and cuddled any baby she could find. Grammie Bobbie truly loved to spoil her grandchildren, including the grand-dogs too! They live on as Grammie’s angels.

Barbara is survived by one daughter, Michelle Bevec, and her husband, John of Canonsburg, PA; two sons, David J. Riether, and his wife, Lisa of Fort Hill, PA and Dale J. Riether, Jr., and his wife Patricia of Bethel Park, PA; six grandchildren – JP Bevec, Tommy Riether, Tony Bevec, Alexandra Riether, Marlee Riether, and Melanie Riether; her sister Delores “Dee” Kochin, her brother Carl “Chick” Jesiokiewic as well as 4 late brothers – Joe, Melvin “Penner”, Joe “Coke”, Stan “Popeye” and 3 late sisters – Jean, Lottie “Bau”, Blance “BeeBee”; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are welcome Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 2-8 pm at Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.  A Funeral Mass will held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Louise de Marillac, 320 McMurray Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15241.  EVERYBODY MEET AT THE CHURCH. Bobbie was such a warm and beautiful woman and will be greatly missed. I remember how much she loved her family and how much she enjoyed camping at Deer Valley. We will miss seeing her smiling face this year at Deer Valley, especially as we gather in the snack bar for an evening of Hearts! Our deepest sympathy to your family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

We were fortunate enough to meet during the good old days. Bridge Club brought Bobbie n Dale, Linda n Ted, Trudy n Steve and Linda n John together. That spun into trips and trouble. But what a wonderful time we all had together. I was so happy they were moving to SC! She will be missed more than my Bikini ??.....
