With a quiet and gentle demeanor, she was witty and fun.   She adored animals and her family’s pets, loved being in nature, watching birds, admiring flowers and nurturing African violets, gardening, visits to the beach, and long walks. She will always be admired for her kindness and unwavering resilience. Cherie is now able to rest with eternal peace in Heaven.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Her family extends their gratitude to Benedum Geriatric Center, Hillside Manor and Gallagher Hospice for the compassionate end of life care she received. Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA.

Aunt Cherie had a beautiful spirit and true heart. Her loss came as a shock and we are still processing how someone so full of full of spirit could leave us so soon. My Dad lost his big sister and my grandma lost a daughter without getting to say goodbye. My aunt was a kind and lovely soul who's finally at peace and my only solace is that she's with my grandpa now who loved her dearly and they are both now together waiting for my grandma in heaven. I have precious memories of my aunt over so many holidays she spent with us for dinners, at my graduations, just visiting, grandpa's bday party with all the candles and oxygen too lol, etc. I can hear the delicate way she'd say "Scott" when talking to my Dad and I can hear the loving stories my grandma has told me about when Aunt Cherie was born too. We may not have been able be with you or to say goodbye, but we all love you very much! I hope you know how Daddy and Grandma truly love you! They will be with again someday! In the meantime, please give grandpa a hug and kiss for me!
