Debra Eileen Beckmann-Hein, 68 of Webster, New York, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Predeceased by her husband, Ron Hein; her parents, Louis and Ruth J. Beckmann. She is survived by her daughter Lindsay McBreen; grandson Orion McBreen; sister Terri Stebbing; nieces and nephews.

Deb was born in Cincinnati, OH on October 21, 1951. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from University of Rochester and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Boston College. Deb dedicated her career to education and teaching children at Webster Central School District. Her warm, friendly personality would immediately fill a room with smiles and conversation. In her spare time, Deb volunteered at Willink Middle School and Asbury Storehouse. She especially enjoyed spending her time reading books and snuggling with Orion, eating Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, and watching silly movies. Deb loved to spend time with all her friends and family, making time for phone calls and online meetings when it was not possible to meet in person. She was greatly appreciative of all her friends that became a second family.

At Deb’s request, memorial services will not be planned until “there’s no possibility that anyone I love could catch covid-19.” We are hoping to plan a celebration of her life in the spring of 2021. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the Webster Public Library, 980 Ridge Road, Webster, NY 14580. Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, McMurray, PA. To share a memory of Deb or send a condolence visit www.PittsburghCremation.com

Deb was a neighbor and friend of mine for many, many years. She was an outstanding educator, and person in general. I think about her often and miss being able to communicate with her.

So sad to hear of Deb’s passing. I met her through teaching. She was always so kind and had encouraging, loving words. My prayers and good memories are with Lindsay and family.
