The Maerkles: Carolyn, Bill, Gabrielle, and Autumn Faith
Dave, Mary Ann, Rose, Andy, and the entire DeFide Family~ You are in our daily thoughts and prayers. Your Mom was an amazing, sweet, and beautiful woman. Growing-up she brought much laughter, love, and kindness to our neighborhood and I recall her voice enjoying nightly summer conversations on the front porch reminding me to go home from playing board games (or should I say... winning Monopoly/Stratego/Clue/Careers/PayDay/Guess Who, Life, etc.), when the "street lights came on" and also calling your name to return home (if playing at my house). Flooding my recollections are the countless times she welcomed children as we played hide and seek, Davey Jones' Locker, and rundown; rode bikes, skate boarded, and sledded down hills for hours; traversed through Riverview Park, the courtyard, and backyards; bounced balls against porch walls in battles of 7-Up; drew hopscotch and chalk games; explored rock collections, collected stamps, delivered newspapers, and went from house to house, not only swimming, playing basketball, sharing snacks, but making lots and lots of noise. She also had the patience of a saint to tolerate Linda and Rose's high antics! More recently, our girls have been touched by her life as Gabrielle remarked her shared love of reading books and Autumn Faith, her sense of humor. Words truly cannot express how much this loss is felt and pray the knowledge that she is now at peace in heaven surrounded by loved ones bring you comfort at this most difficult time. Please do not hesitate if you need anything.
