Edward B. Borkowski, 85 of Moon Township, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Thursday, March 9, 2023. He was born in Glassport, PA on July 7, 1937, the son of the late William and Blanche Borkowski. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elaine. Preceded in death by brothers, Ben, John, and Joe, and sisters Cecilia, Laura, Trudy, and Clara. Survived by his sister Jean Borkowski of Glassport and many nieces and nephews.

Ed proudly served 7 years in the U.S. Airforce. He was a steel worker for USS Homestead until the mills closed. Ed was then employed as a truck driver by the USPS until his retirement. Ed was an avid golfer. He also enjoyed the sport of horse racing and entertained his buddies with colorful comments on the races. Less well-known is Ed’s love of animals, as he loved his house cats and enjoyed feeding the wild birds and deer. Eternal rest grant unto him, Lord.

Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 11:00 am at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, St. Margaret Mary Church, 1 Parish Place, Coraopolis, PA 15108. Burial with military honors will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Know that “Burnsie” is at peace with his parents and siblings; and he is happy perusing the racing program, as his buddy, Tumba, is holding pocket Aces at the card table!
