Elizabeth Ann Kovacevic

Elizabeth A. Kovacevic, 72 of Neville Island, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022. She was born in Pittsburgh on May 25, 1950, the daughter of the late Matthew and Isla Mae Filipiak. Beloved mother of Robin Tomczak and wife of Dana Kovacevic. Adoring grandmother of Sterling Tomczak. Sister of Christine (Hank) Stull, Matthew “Bucky” (Marcie) Filipiak, and the late John “Sonny” Filipiak. Long-time companion of Erin L. of Jacksonville, FL. Aunt of Renee, Nichole, Hank Jr., Jennifer, Julie, Jamie, Scott, Jason, and the late John. She was like a mother to Alex and Cara Ferguson and a grandmother figure to Brayden and the late Jayden Ferguson.

Elizabeth was a founding member of Drama Libre in the online Second Life community. Screen name: Peachy Sassoon. She thrived off designing themed party/celebration sets for weekly gatherings of online friends from across the world. She was a proud “Bubby” and caregiver to Sterling. Her love for him is immeasurable. He was her happiness. All the kids in the neighborhood knew Bubby and would often run to her for hugs. She was a safe place, as well as a beacon of love and joy for many. Private arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA.
