Francine DeCou Arre, age 62, of Pleasant Hills, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on August 24, 2020.

Born on September 29, 1957,  she was the daughter of the late Ursula and Samuel DeCou.

Loving mother of William “Billy” (Victoria “Tori”) Arre; dear sister of Erika Sullivan and Jackie DeCou; and aunt of Steven (Daniela) McMahon and Lindsay Sullivan.

Francine had a love for travel. She was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and enjoyed watching her son’s sports career grow over the years. She was a proud supporter of local animal rescue organizations, and even adopted two dogs; Skeeter and Peaches. She was a strong advocate for many charities, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to one of her favorite charities; The Susan G. Koman Foundation, National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, Alzheimers Foundation, The Brain Aneurysm Foundation or any animal rescue.

Please view and sign the family’s online guestbook at pittsburghcremation.com.

I had never met Fran in person but had the pleasure of working remotely with her at Direct Travel. She was a pleasure to work with and will be missed.

I can’t imagine life without Francine in it, but I know that I was blessed to be able to call her my friend for 50 years. I have replayed every memory over these past five days. All our love to Bill and Tori, Jackie, Erika, Stephen and Lindsay.

You don’t know me but I worked with Fran at Direct Travel. We only corresponded through email, but I felt her genuine spirit. If Fran was involved, I knew I was in good hands. When I heard of her passing I was deeply saddened, she will truly be missed. I pray for her and for her family. Janet Rossi- Chicago

I was very upset to hear of Fran's passing. I worked for Fran at Direct Travel and even though only got to know her for a few years she was always kind and respectful any time we got to speak. When my daughter was seriously injured in a serious car accident last year Fran was one of the first to reach out and offer any assistance she could, that's the beauty and the kindness of Fran's heart, she also sent a card for my daughter which my daughter greatly appreciated, god bless you Fran and god bless your family during this difficult time. You will be missed.

My sympathy and prayers to Fran's family. I worked with Fran for 5 years and from the minute I met her I felt her warmth. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. Peace be with you Fran on this new journey.
